What is a Man?

Masculinity and manhood are very general, self opinionated topics. What does it mean to be a man? How does one qualify for the title? Is the term man simply referring to male human beings, or does it hold a greater measure of meaning in society? By definition, the word "man" is described as "an adult human being as distinguished from a female. In William Shakespeare's Macbeth, the main characters frequently dwell on this question and each have their own attitude towards the necessary qualities a true man must possess. Throughout the course of the play, we see a drastic change in not only the roll that both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth play in their relationship, but also their personal intentions and goals and just how far they will go to achieve these goals. One thing that never changes, however, is the stress which Lady Macbeth poses on her husband's masculinity.

Lady Macbeth has a very different idea of qualities that represent manhood than those of other characters in the play. Although she believes in courage, strength, and fortitude, she also believes in some other more controversial qualities as well. Lady Macbeth feels that a man isn't truly a man unless he can kill without regret. She also believes that a true man should be able to keep his cool under any amount of pressure. Each of these examples are seen throughout the book and accurately demonstrate her opinions on what a "man" is.

We first see Lady Macbeth's influence in the beginning of the novel, just before the devious plan to kill King Duncan takes place, when Macbeth expresses his fear and hesitation. In Lady Macbeth's eyes, the doubt which her husband displays is their biggest threat and the only way to fix this problem is to question his manhood. When you durst do it, then you were a man (I.vii4) This tactic works because Macbeth holds his wife's opinions of him in high regard. Another reason Lady Macbeth is able to convince Macbeth into completing the job is that he wants to please her because she is the dominant spouse in their relationship at this point in the play.

In the book Lord of the Flies, the author William Golding illustrates that evil resides in all human kind. The book Lord of the Flies was an extremely moving and brutal book. It showed the contrast of good verses evil. The plane crash that started the boys exhilarating adventure was a result of them fleeing war. In the conclusion, there ended up being war on the island. William Golding does a great job of showing the contrast between good and evil.

The ancient philosopher, Socrates, argues that "If one pursues knowledge through justice and wisdom, one will eventually always chose what is right and good because there will be no other choice." This is saying that a person who has been well educated will never chose the wrong choice, because once he knows the right choice he will choose it. The idea that evil dwells inside us all simply states that under extreme conditions, similar to those on the island, this evil could be exposed. The boys on the island had plenty of chances to make the right choice. Although they were well educated and dignified, some choose for their evil to be brought out.

Jack was one of the main causes for violence on the island. At the beginning of the story the main conflict was between Ralph and Jack over leadership. When Jack lost the election to become leader he had a sense of rebellion and anger towards Ralph. As the plot built up, a beast is created on the island through the boys' own imagination. William Golding created this beast to represent the beast inside of us. The Beast also represented all of the war and hate in the society. When Sam and Eric witness the sight of the beast, Jack uses it to his advantage and persuades the others to join his tribe and that he will

protect them from the beast. At this point William Golding is exposing that the real beast is the dark side of human nature.

Louis Riel one of the most controversial figures in Canadian history. Louis Riel was born in 1844 at St. Boniface. Throughout his childhood he learned to speak both French and English, and he studied to become a priest. However, he did not complete these studies, and moved to the U.S. to become a store clerk. But by 1868 he grew homesick and decided to move back to his Mtis homeland. It was in this year that he first set the stage for many historic events to follow.

Many people think Louis Riel was a hero, and many believe that he was a villain. In this essay I will discuss the matter, and all of the reasons that cause people to take up either point of view. Personally, I believe that Louis Riel was a hero, even though he did do some bad things. No one can be perfect, and what he did may have turned out for the better.

Louis Riel entered Canadian history in 1868, as an unofficial but greatly appreciated leader of the Mtis people. Canadian surveyors were beginning to make their way into the west, to survey and divide the land for settlers from Ontario and Quebec. But the Mtis people wanted to keep their traditional ways, and did not want to be forced to move. At the time, Louis Riel had just returned from the U.S., becoming homesick after two years away from his family. When the surveyors came to the Mtis lands, Louis Riel stepped on their chain and said to them "You go no further." It was this that began to lead him to rebellion against the Canadian Government, and to try and protect the rights of the Mtis people.

One of the first things he did was set up the National Committee of the Mtis. This committee was to decide how to protect the Mtis' rights and way of life. At first, Louis Riel had no thoughts of an armed rebellion, but committee was to decide how to protect the Mtis' rights and way of life. The theory of continental drift is not based on trivial notions or unscientific resources that do not contain a reasonable amount of substantial and justified information regarding this topic. Instead, it is based on proper scientific-based resources and is the accumulation of many a theory from qualified geologists and scientists around the world. In this essay the geology of plate movement in relation to the history of the world as we know it will be explored.

The word tectonics comes from the Greek root to build.

According to the continental drift theory, the supercontinent Pangaea began to break up about 5-00 million years ago, eventually fragmenting into the continents as we know them today

According to the theory of continental drift, the world was made up of a single continent through most of geologic time. That continent eventually separated and drifted apart, forming into the seven continents we have today. The first comprehensive theory of continental drift was suggested by the German meteorologist Alfred Wegener in 11

According to the generally accepted plate-tectonics theory, scientists believe that Earths surface is broken into a number of shifting slabs or plates, which average about 50 miles in thickness. These plates move relative to one another above a hotter, deeper, more mobile zone at average rates as great as a few inches per year. Most of the worlds active volcanoes are located along or near the boundaries between shifting plates and are called plate-boundary volcanoes.

The Mad Man in the Tower

In the United States Constitution, the second amendment gives citizens the right to bare arms. This right was granted to help protect us from both foreign and domestic enemies and to be used as a weapon of last resort. For centuries that right was abused, but no one had ever abused that right as Charles Whitman did. Whitman used that privilege as a right to cause destruction and inflict pain in an attempt to solve problems of his own demise. On August 1st, 166, Whitman opened fire upon innocent bystanders, 07 feet about ground level from a tower located on the University of Texas campus. For an unimpeded 6 minutes, Whitman fired upon everyone that he set his sight on, injuring 1 people and ultimately resulting in the death of 17 others.

As a child, Whitman received harsh discipline from his father, C.A Whitman. Usually belts, paddles and fist were used to be sure this family complied with his rules and met his expectations. C.A Whitman was a wife beater. Whitman would later loathe his father for the beatings he received throughout his life. C.A Whitman was a gun enthusiast. He gave his sons guns, motorcycles and other gifts that he felt fit as a reward for meeting his expirations. In Whitman's mind, all of the luxuries that his father gave to him would never make up for all of the beating that he had received and the household problems.

Shortly before Whitman's 18th birthday, Whitman nearly drowned after being tossed into a pool during a brawl with his father. Whitman arrived home one night drunk with some friends and upon sight of this and for other reasons unknown; the tensions became too great for Whitman's father to handle. C.A Whitman pounced on his son and proceeded to throw his son in the pool. A few days after the fight between the two, Whitman applied for enlisted in the United States Marines; he left for basic training on July 6th, 15. Now it was Whitman's chance to prove to his father that he was becoming a man.

Birds singing in the air, grass is beginning to regain its chlorophyll, lawn mowers echoing in the distance; these are the typical characteristics that are associated with the season of spring. It is also the beginning of spring training for major league players. In our household, there is an ultimatum; you're either a White Sox fan or a White Sox fan. Not much of a choice I thought; it even fits into the communist system of government, but over the years, I grew up to become a loyal fan of the good, old palehose.

I could even remember my first exposure of America's pastime dating back to my infant years. Photos on my living room wall and in memorabilia books display a wide conglomeration of baby pictures in White Sox paraphernalia. Many relatives of mine say its is the cutest thing that they ever seen, but I think its pretty horrid. A baby wearing an oversized jersey of Minnie Minoso laying in a catcher's mit is the picture that my mother cherishes the most. She chooses to display that picture in the living room wall over my Little League champion picture. Instead of picturing my feats and accomplishments, she chooses to go with the "little Minnie" picture, as my family members would refer to it. Whenever I go past the picture, the thought conjures, why?

I guess it's a mother thing. Mothers seem to have some type of telekinesis that can compute things such as false testimony or whenever trouble lurks.

Most fathers play catch with their sons, go fishing at times, or maybe even teach some tricks of the trade that has been passed down from generation to generation. My father was not the typical father. I don't know if there is term to describe him. If there were a word to describe a person that is over fatherly, a picture of him would be next to that term. He would be there during my Little League games, dates with girls, anything that can be thought of. The worst thing was that he was my Little League coach. It may not sound as bad, but imagine having Bobby Knight as a coach and a father. The continuous pressure to be successful on the field and off the field was the only thing that my father preached during the season.

Almost every country in the world has experienced immigration problems. They have experienced this because people migrate to their country from their homeland. They do this to improve their life style for their selves and their families. Also they want to give up their old ways of life for a better lifestyle. Even though they don't have a green card they still try to come to the United States to improve their life style.

I believe that immigration is a growing threat to the United States. This is a growing threat to us because without immigration energy cost will be a lot lower I assume. Also immigration has cost the United States graduation percent to decrease. When we use to be the leading country in graduation percent. Immigrant children are more likely to be poor as a US citizen rather than staying in their homeland. Our country could do better jobs by helping those less fortunate get on their feet. But without the help of the government and the citizens this situation will keep making immigration a bad thing.

In my perspective immigration has shaped the US. Immigration is helpful in the job industry because immigrants take jobs that nobody else wants. The reason why immigration should be allowed is because they have a lot of advantages if they come to the US. Immigrants are becoming a big part of the Doctrine area. Immigrants are also becoming the main people who want to be doctors. Also new jobs will be created thanks to immigrants. Migration makes the United States one of the few developed nations that is not stabilizing population growth. Population growth in the United States has increased due to immigration. Although immigration is bad is helps the United States.

I feel that immigration is the cause of most the United States down falls. Thanks to immigration schools are becoming over populated. American taxpayers for the youth education for immigrations' are over $0 billion a year. Also foreign students are replacing undergraduates from American colleges. Without new jobs Americans will be left without work and immigrants will replace them. So decreasing immigration will give Americans a better chance to succeed I the United States.

As I read, "Yield" by Ronald Gross, I cannot help but think about my younger sister and the way I feel about her turning sixteen years old and being able to drive legally. As Gross uses the driving terms such as yield, stop, and no parking, I can see her learning how to drive and reading the signs.

The poem starts out it saying "Yield. No Parking." When I hear this I think about how my little sister has trouble keeping her foot light on the gas pedal and how she needs to develop her parking skills. When she is driving she has a tendency to keep the gas pedal down a little too much. She does not speed when she is driving down the road, but she uses too much gas when she is turning and pulling into parking lots. When she wants to make a turn at a light or at an intersection she almost always uses too much gas and squeals the tires just a little bit. She does not understand that you do not need to go as fast on a turn as you do going down the road.

Also she has a few problems when she is trying to pull into a parking space. She, as well as most people, has a problem with judging the distance between her and the car or wall or curb she is parking next to. The worst part of her parking ability is that she combines her lack of being able to judge distance with her heavy foot. So, needless to say, it is a very nerve racking ordeal when she starts to park somewhere. Her parking ability is something that can be fixed with a little time, experience and a few simple tips. But in the meantime she needs to purchase a very big grill guard for her pickup.

The last part of the poem makes me think of some of the bad driving tips she has picked up from me along the way. The words in the poem, unlawful to pass and wait for green lights are things that I have done wrong in the past when she was riding with me. So now she thinks that because I did them that there is nothing wrong with passing someone on the right side and also going on yellow or red lights. I have never done these things unless I was 110% sure that it would not cause a wreck or endanger anyone in my pickup. But with her lack of driving experience she does not know better and thinks it is just all a part of driving.

Golden Week

Due to a coincidental chain of Japanese national holidays, the name "Golden Week" was given to one of Japan's longest and busiest holidays. Golden Week starts with Midori no Hi (Greenery Day) on April 29th and ends with Kodomo no Hi (Children's Day) on May 5th. Other holidays in between are Kenpou Kinen bi (Constitution Memorial Day) on May 3rd and occasionally Kokumin no Kyujitsu (People's Day) on May 4th, and May Day on May 5th. The word "Golden Week" was first used by movie companies as a media hook to get people to watch more movies. Excluding Oshoogatsu and summer vacation, Golden Week is the longest holiday of the year. Most companies and schools often allow additional days off in order for Golden Week to become a full week of holidays. Golden Week is an ideal time for the Japanese to travel because of the line of holidays and the pleasant weather. Thus, popular sites and transportation facilities are especially crowded during this time.

Midori no Hi marks the beginning of Golden Week on April 29th and originated during the reign of Hirohito, also called Emperor Shoowa (Shouwa Tennou). Showa, meaning "Time of Enlightened Peace" was Emperor Hirohito's title and is commonly associated with the period of Hirohito's reign. This day was originally a national holiday honoring the birthday of Emperor Hirohito, but when the emperor died in 1989, the holiday was preserved and changed to Midori no Hi. It has been the custom in Japan since 1948 to observe the reigning emperor's birthday as a national holiday and many holidays that originated from a sovereign's birthday have now evolved into holidays celebrated for a reason other than honoring the former ruler. Emperor Hirohito loved nature and in memory of his reign, which was the longest in the world, April 29th was designated as a day for all people to appreciate nature.

On Midori no Hi, people all over Japan participate in volunteer work focused on beautifying natural sites. Thousands help with planting trees and other flora, cleaning up local parks and nature preserves, while countless others attend public-awareness campaigns to promote the preservation and appreciation of nature. Kids also participate in activities such as walkathons and presentations provided by local parks.

The word "name" has many denotative meanings. One is a word by which a person, place, or thing is known. Another is a descriptive word or title. And then there's reputation, good or bad. Not only does the word "name" have many different meanings, but also names themselves have different meanings. I believe that a name is that person or thing and a description of the person's or thing's personality and being.

There are many objects that everyone knows by the same name, such as a piece of paper. Everyone who speaks the English language knows it as paper. I've never seen anyone look at a sheet of paper and call it a marker or scissors. This is because we are taught since birth to call certain objects by certain names. Also as we grow, we learn about new objects and their names. By the time we mature, we expect everyone we communicate with to know these items by the same names as we know them. Of course, there are the effects of the slang and the lingo of the region or time that we must adapt to and/or learn. However, no matter what the circumstances or situation, a piece of paper will always be a piece of paper.Names are also a description of a person or thing. Native Americans practiced this ritual of naming people with a name that described them, such as Green Cloud, Running Wolf, and She Black of Heart. According to Louise Erdrich in her article "The Names of Women," these names were later transformed by the pilgrims into names such as Catherine and Marie. Even in today's society, people can tell a lot by a person's name. For example, the name Ernest is not very popular now and is what Erdrich would call a "bad name." She claims that just by hearing the name you can tell that Ernest is either a very strong, outspoken person or very shy. This is because we expect that with a "bad name," Ernest has to deal with ridicule all his life, which meant he had to either stand up for himself or try to ignore it. By standing up for himself, he would build himself into a strong, outspoken person; however, by attempting to ignore it, he would grow up to be weak and shy.

In Australia the Indigenous peoples show discrepancies in social inequalities. Through this paper it will attempt to analyze Australian Aboriginal culture, and heritage. Areas of literature, film, art, history and social sciences will be used to address the overall understanding of the interpretations and representations in Australia.

The social inequalities faced by the contemporary indigenous peoples in Australia, are largely a consequence of their colonial and developmental history. Australia was once a part of the British Empire; their constitutional, political and social institutions are representations of this. Australia has developed economies largely dependent on primary production and extractive industries, initially for English, and later world, markets. Within the political and economic framework, indigenous peoples have severely been marginalized and excluded. This exclusion and associated poverty is frequently seen as the downfall of the Aboriginal people (Berndt, and Berndt 1 p40)

At the time of Europeans arrival, Australian Aborigines were hunter-gathers. Captain Cook description of the Aborigine in 1770 was that of the noble savage. However others looked upon the hunter gather as savages, because of prior dealings with Africans, Black skin was synonymous with primitive and savage (Broom 001 P ). The colonists held two preconceptions of the Aboriginal. The educated minority who tended to romanticize them as the noble savage as seen in Kings 17 painting The Aboriginal Family (Appendix 1), while the uneducated majority considered them just savages (Broom 001p 0). Regardless of the label or preconception of the Aboriginal they were often seen as ignorant with no culture or society, a misconception leading to misunderstanding and inequality for the Aborigine.

"Does Managing Diversity give Management in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry a competitive advantage over its competitors"?

It is a common misconception that diversity in tourism and hospitality organisations is only about race or about the EEO. Diversity in tourism and hospitality is so much more than EEO although it encompasses the EEO's fundamental theories to build long-term business strategies (Hogh, personal communication, March 18, 00). Some tourism and hospitality managers are of the opinion that managing diversity will enable them to achieve a competitive advantage. This essay will explore three hotels in the tourism and hospitality industry and discuss the effects of diversity in their businesses in relation to gaining a competitive edge over their competitors.

Diversity includes but is not limited to race, age, gender, religious background, learning orientation, work levels and functions, economic background, communication and learning styles (What every consultant needs to know about diversity and consulting and training, 00, p. 1). To gain a competitive advantage in tourism and hospitality organisations, as with any business, diversity must encompass all these differences to ensure the best possible benefits are achieved from their employees. When employees are managed to achieve their full potential the long-term business objectives of the organisation will not only be achieved but customer service will be excellent and thus profits increased resulting in a leading edge over competitors (Hogh, personal communication, 00, March 18).

According to the Webster's English dictionary personas are "individual's social facades" and the root of the word person comes from the Latin word persona, which in their language means mask. Masks have been around for thousands of years. They come in many shapes and sizes, the most well known masks are physical masks. As described in "why do people make masks?" (Sparkers), they have many uses, such as protection or preservation of memories. Masks allow the wearer to mask their true identity. Most of the time these masks are virtual, although often present they can not always be detected. No matter what shape they may take, they always have the same purposes, and when referring to virtual masks, it's often to hide the wearer's true self and bend reality to his or her biddings.

Knowing that almost everyone has hid behind a mask at one point or another, a question that can be raised is to what extent is reality tainted by the presence of masks in literature and society. The presence of various facades, such as the masks of Pride, Courage, and Hypocrisy, often taint reality due to the superficial environment they influence the characters to live in. We can witness this in different literary sources such as Shadow Play A novel by Charles Baxter as well as in society today.

The first mask that tends to taint the reality the characters live in is the mask of Pride. In Shadow Play, we see this mask worn by various characters. We also see characters like Willy in Arthur Miller's play as well as other characters in various books wear this mask. Wyatt, in Baxter's novel is the first character showing evidence of this mask. This facade is transparent when Wyatt gets a tattoo in order to conceal the pain caused by his cousins death. His embarrassment to show his true feelings demonstrates the mask of pride. He is not the only one, however, that uses pain in order to sustain his pride. One can see the same phenomenon in novels such as Find me by Rosie O'Donnell or The Luckiest Girl in the World by Steven Levenkron. Characters in both of these novels seek pain in order to not have to deal with their emotions due to the persona of pride they have been raised to wear. Showing their feelings would show a weakness to their facade which is why they seek to conceal it with superficial pain.

I can remember watching the television show, Leave it to Beaver, in the good old days. Watching Mr. Cleaver go off work, while Mrs. Cleaver stayed home and took care of the household chores, (i.e. cleaning, cooking, washing, and occasionally gardening). When Mr. Cleaver returned at the end of the workday, the entire family would sit down for the evening meal and have quality time together. Because of the rapid shift in the economy, todays families are affected financially. Both members are required to hold down part time, if not full time jobs in order to avoid unforeseen financial hardship. The family as a unit is finding very little or no quality time to spend together, due to both parents working.

The economy has changed drastically in recent years. Wage increases are not keeping up with the economy; stocks plunder, and goods go up. With only one parent working in a two-parent household, they are finding it almost impossible to shoulder the full financial burden alone. This has put a heavy strain on the family, forcing them to dip into their savings in order to maintain a substantial household net. Finally outings are becoming a thing of the past, because only one parent is working and forced to put in a great deal of overtime. The point is; because of globalization, factories closing, and downsizing, this has put families into a financial pressure cooker.

Businesses are trying to put family back into family by adopting some form of a relief program for both parents in a household that are working and by offering childcare facilities in the workplace. They also have family day and have cut back on the number of days of the workweek, by using the 4-40 program which means four days, forty hours. These are some of the ways that companies are trying to make more time for the family to spend together and not jeopardizing the company goal.

In my opinion, there should be government regulations in the form of a cap, similiar to the one used in sports Ithe salary cap), on businesses that choose to close and move overseas. It should be in the form of an import, with a limit on items that they are allowed to ship back into the country, and higher taxes. This would make them think hard about packing up and leaving, while the American Family is in such a financial crisis.

ESTABLISHING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

When we talk about the purposes of education we may be referring to purposes at one or more of the following levels nation, state, school district, school, and subject? Grade, unit plan, or lesson plan. Although there is no perfect agreement, most educators use the terms goals and objective to distinguish among levels of purpose with goals being broader and objectives being more specific. All end points however are influenced by social forces and by prevailing philosophies or theories of education. Social forces and philosophies combing to shape the goals adopted at the national or state level. Changes in society include shifts in emphasis amount the various influences such as the family, peer groups, social class and the economy.

Although goals are important guides in education, they cannot be directly observed or evaluated; rather, they are broad statements that denote a desired and valued competency, a theme or concern that applies to education in general. Sometimes the most general goals are called aims. Goals or aims are formulated at the national and state levels, often by prestigious commissions or task forces. Goals at the school district level begin to narrow in focus. For example, a school district goal related to the national goal of school readiness might be that "all children will have access to highquality and developmentally appropriate preschool programs that help prepare children for school." Goals at the school level usually narrow in focus even more, translating national, state, and district goals in to statement that coincide more closely either the philosophy and priorities of the local school community. By describing what schooling is intended to accomplish, goals provide a direction, but they are too vague for teachers and students to apply directly in the classroom. Thus for classroom use, goals must be translated into more specific objectives.

Objectives are generally written at three levels of instruction subject/grade level, unit plan level, and lesson plan level. In practice, most educators at the classroom level organize instruction with a combination of general and specific objectives in mind. General objectives are characterized by "end" terms such as to know, learn, understand, comprehend, and appreciate. At the level of the individual lesson plan, objectives usually become very specific.

The study of the human brain has been researched for thousands of years. As technology

progressed it seemed only natural to try and replicate the thought process. A Neurophysiologist, Warren McCulloch, and a mathematician, Walter Pitts researched how neurons work in 14. They modeled a basic neuron by electrical circuits. This was considered the first step toward the simulation of the neural network. By definition, neural networks are relatively crude electronic models based on the neural structure of the brain. The questions that are being developed and answered are 1. How does the neurons/neural network work? . How are they being used? And more importantly, how efficient is the neural network?

Theories concerning replicating the human brain formalized again in the 150's, when computers started becoming advanced. An engineer, Nathaniel Rochester from IBM research laboratories began the first effort to simulate a true neural network. Of course, with most first attempts, they fail. And that was the case with Rochester. But, as he continued in his research they became successful. In 15, Bernard Widrow and Marcian Hoff developed models called ADALINE and MADALINE. The names are acronyms for their use of Mulitple Adaptive LINear Elements. It's an adaptive filter that removes the echoes from phone lines. MADALINE was considered the first neural network to actually be the solution for a true problem. The neural network is still currently being used in some commercial businesses. Through the years, the success turned to fear and drew many concerns of the accountability of the machines thinking and resolving problems. Due to the excessive hype of uncertainty, much of the funding came to a halt.

In 18, John Hopfield proposed to create valuable devices, by using neural networks. Since then several engineers and scientists have come from around the world to Neural Network conferences to discuss ideas, and engaged in targeting specific uses for the network. As progression took place engineers realized that the key to the neural networks lies in hardware development. Scientists came to the conclusion that in order to fully develop the networks the prototypes had to be removed from the labs for testing. Which required specialized chips. Companies began working on three types of neuro chips- digital, analog, and optical. Currently, the optical chip seems to be the most promising for the future.

Lady Macbeth is highly duplicitous in the play Macbeth.

Although she appears to be completely inoccent. It is in fact her, rather than Macbeth, who is most to blame for the Murder of King Duncan and the turmoil which follows. It is her greed which powers the wishful thinking that Macbeth experiences when he hears the predictions of the witches at the start of the play. This will be later examined in my essay entitled What powers Macbeth? In this essay I will strive to show the true colours of Lady Macbeth and how in fact Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are equally to blame for their downfall if not that she is to blame more. For example, Macbeths guilt at the end of the book is visible in his consious mind (when he is awake) , this shows that he shows real guilt and wants to tell someone so that he can cleansed of his sins.Whereas, with Lady Macbeth, her guilt is only in her subconcious, her conscience interfering only when she is asleep. This shows that she does not wish anyone to find out what she has done but only to hide it.It is ironic that her trying to conceal the problem means that it is conveyed to her nurse through her sleep-talking.She maintained her cool whilst talking to Macbeth only to keep him silent by saying that she felt no guilt, although evidently she did.Macbeth is a play based on a real king who was nothing like the character in the play. It is unfair that scottish history be defaced in this way by Shakespeare. But did Shakespeare in fact write his plays. In the novel Flowers for Algernon the main character Charlie challenges this.Wsa it not that Shakespeare was illiterate. He surely could not read and write. Maybe someone else , a scotsman hating english king wrote Macbeth or maybe an it was indeed an angry Shakespeare.U must remember that to understand a novel u mist first understand its author.I must do research on the most famous English playright before I can truely understnad who Lady Macbeth was based on, if anyone at all.Could it be Shakespeares mother, sister, a girl on the street, school mistress, a real queen?
